Giovanna Buccolo è un'artista contemporanea italiana, nasce e vive a Torino.
La sua passione per l'arte è frutto di un percorso di crescita personale, un modo per uscire fuori dagli schemi e dalle convenzioni che molto spesso la società e il modo di vivere impongono. Trae ispirazione da tutto ciò che la circonda.
È dalla sua percezione della realtà che scaturiscono molti spunti che poi sviluppa, a volte modificandoli in corso d'opera.
Buccolo ricerca gli archetipi che la guidano trasformandoli in immagini; un viaggio nell'introspezione psicologica con una pittura impulsiva ed istintiva. Pittura, disegno, arte generativa e digital art, un'artista versatile che ama sperimentare e innovare creando.
Protagonisti indiscussi delle sue opere sono i colori che, attraverso un attento studio nella disposizione e nelle forme, danno un tocco magico e un tratto originale alle opere. I colori fanno da base alle figure, alle emozioni, che si trasformano in qualcosa di concreto ma non decifrabile. L'arte diventa creatività aperta all'inconscio e chiusura alla ragione.
In alcune opere vi sono figure ben definite in altre no, per permettere a chi guarda la propria libera interpretazione. Obiettivo delle sue creazioni è provocare e stimolare la mente e rendere manifesto il mondo interiore.
Uno stile concettuale che permette di andare oltre le apparenze, cercando di trasmettere all’osservatore un linguaggio silenzioso ma carico di profondità e riflessione. Il gesto dipende solo dai voleri della psiche e l'immaginario vola in tutte le direzioni come energia.

Influenze: non si sente particolarmente legata a un preciso artista del passato in quanto ritiene che ciascuno abbia espresso il proprio stile personale ma predilige i tratti e la mano artistica di Kandinskij, Picasso, Pollock, Van Gogh, Modigliani, De Chirico, Miró, Hieronymus Bosch, Cézanne, Monet, Mary Cassatt, Renoir.

:"Il messaggio che voglio lanciare è quello di non fermarsi in superficie ma andare “oltre” oltre il significato tangibile, oltre la pura e mera osservazione delle opere cercando di individuare non solo il significato manifesto ma quello più celato e nascosto, lasciandosi trasportare dalla propria immaginazione e dalle proprie sensazioni”. Qualunque sia lo stile o la tecnica il fine è quello di suscitare emozioni e riuscire a trasmettere un messaggio in chi le guarda.

The undisputed protagonists of her works are colors which, through careful study of arrangement and forms, give a magical touch and an original trait to the artworks. Colors provide the foundation for the figures, the emotions, that transform into something concrete yet indecipherable. Art becomes open creativity to the unconscious and closed to reason.
In some works there are well-defined figures while in others there aren't, allowing the viewer their own free interpretation. The goal of her creations is to provoke and stimulate the mind and make the inner world manifest.
Her conceptual style allows one to go beyond appearances, seeking to convey to the observer a silent language filled with depth and reflection. The gesture depends solely on the desires of the psyche and the imagination soars in all directions like energy.

Influences: she does not feel particularly tied to a specific artist from the past as she believes that each has expressed their own personal style.
